Dr. Jayesh Patel, DMD, MsC
Meet Dr. Jayesh Patel, the owner and lead dentist at Clayton Family Dental. Originally from South Africa, Dr. Patel moved to the United States at the age of nine years old. He spent part of his childhood right here in the Triangle before his family relocated to Massachusetts. Dr. Patel’s passion for dentistry is personal; he credits a childhood accident with guiding him toward the field and giving him a unique empathy for his patients.
Dr. Patel completed his Bachelor’s degree at Boston University’s Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, followed by a Master’s degree in Physiology at New York Medical College. He returned to Boston University to earn his Doctorate in Dental Medicine, graduating magna cum laude in 2018. In addition to his extensive academic background, Dr. Patel’s work has earned numerous awards, including the prestigious Hanau “Best of the Best” Prosthodontic Award. He has also been recognized with the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Implant Student Award and multiple research accolades. Dr. Patel’s research has been published in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology, underscoring his commitment to advancing dental care.
Dr. Patel is an active faculty member at Boston University Dental and CDOCs Go, where he shares his passion for educating both patients and other dentists. His comprehensive care philosophy means patients receive personalized treatments designed not just for their oral health but their overall well-being.
Dr. Patel is thrilled to return to the Triangle to serve the Clayton and Johnston County communities with honest, compassionate care. When he’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Patel enjoys hiking, exploring national parks, tinkering with cars, and savoring local ice cream shops. Deeply connected to his family and community, he aims to bring a personal touch to Clayton Family Dental, ensuring every patient feels cared for and valued.
